Really wanted to do a very rough mockup of what Kiahti's bison pal, Fern, looks like. European bison have been domesticated in Kieran's world and fill the niche of horses in society. They're used as work animals but get spoiled rotten once they reach an old age.
Kieran didn't hold back or sugarcoat his words in here. he is scared of the PS finding out about Lauren's collaboration with him and he is genuinely scared of losing her like how he lost someone important to him in the past. he wasn't afraid to tell Lauren this
Kieran recently had a taste of what life without the PS would be like. going on a date, hanging out and having fun with friends... the calm and simple life is within his grasp but he's always reminded of what the PS is capable of doing 😭 i hate it here, he deserves to be happy
Lauren’s clearly taken a page from Kieran’s book with this teasing comment to put a smile on his face and break the tension, Kieran jokes back, and it just goes to show how perfect they are together.
Thankfully, Lauren “no sulky bf on my watch” Sinclair doesn’t let him pull away and she puts her hand over his. And once again, she reaffirms the choices he’s made, which means so much when Kieran has so often not been able to choose. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT KIERAN TEARING UP?
But Kieran pulls away when he realizes what is happening, clearly still hesitant to let himself be close to her.
Rather than dwell on Kieran’s words, she reaches out to comfort him, and it’s great seeing how these two use physical touch as a love language. She reassures him that everything will be okay, but we can’t help but still be nervous.
We’ve seen Kieran scared about Lauren, we’ve seen him question himself in 136 and try to push her away in 142 but now he’s acknowledging to her how scared he is that they’ll come after her.
Lauren makes Kieran feel like there’s hope. 😭 We are not okay. For the first time, she was able to help him find a solution that didn’t involve killing his target.
Poor Kieran has been through so much, and this episode really emphasizes that. He’s never had a choice when it comes to killing, but it’s different now. If you need us, we’ll be off crying in the corner.
We see a lot of Kieran worrying about Lauren and it’s so sweet the tables turned with her worrying about him. She’s so great picking up on Kieran’s moods. We saw it in 142 when she confronted Kieran about being scared and pushing her away, and we see it again here.
We’re here for the continuation of Lauki from last episode, and luckily we don’t have to wait! It’s good to see them after staging Neyra’s murder and Lauren calling Kieran “Purple Hyacinth” hits differently
