Blah. good practice, but ultimately, not quite 'good painting' level. It was a good sketch! But didn't translate well to a painting, I'd say. Lances and such lend to... difficult comps. <shrug>

Wheee. I gotten this done. ^_^ This painting's from an upcoming page, but I can't help but share this now! I really hope I can update this week. Amber and Clarity are Jemma's very best friends in the story.

Another sketch from my phone, something I'll probably never finish but ah well. I'm struggling to get to grips with the digital 'painting' mindset but I can see improvement happening I think? ;;

Testing out 'free painting' markings onto a character! It'll be way easier for me to visually paint it on, and I believe it'll start trickling slowly into my line art once I know what I'm doing. Possibly getting more complex, too!

But right now though? Everything, Everywhere.

I really want to make my painting's skin softer, I really love how it can look with less strong shadows
My yordlesona again! Naked this time because it was supposed to be a fur reference

A wee Tuxedusa. Sadly, the sketch had more attitude, but the painting's okay too. https://t.co/sl5OyMIHnq

Nono has created this series of incredible paintings in in a style he calle 'digitoil painting'. We're in awe of his skill with light and shadow, and the amazing level of tiny detail in each piece.

I haven't actually tried doing a digital 'painting' with the new tablet monitor. I can say that it feels far more natural than before. I need to try to do some face studies. Anyone want to supply their beautiful face for my study? XD;;

Forgot to post this. Although this painting's composition is mostly a failure, going through the whole process and getting feedback from friends was extremely helpful. Learned so much.

This painting's massive size doesn't always come across online:

Can you spot this nautilus shell cup in the Paston Treasure? The cup, on loan from , has a gilt mount in the same style as the painting's frame, this is known as 'auricular' which means 'of the ear'. See it here as part of https://t.co/Zy0Z4csIkv
