I just finished watching Tom and Jerry in New York and…it is awesome! It is like The Tom and Jerry Show but better in nearly every way. From the backgrounds, the music, there is even more violent and funny slapstick in it than than in The T&J Show.

I dunno about this whole thing, but here's my two cents, I guess.

Slapstick is a fine art. It might seem low-brow, but REALLY good physical comedy requires a mastery of timing, weight, and impact. T&J can still be funny in 2021.

Some random info about this man:

He’s basically a stunt double for all violent cartoon slapstick. Everytime a bomb went off, a character was hit by a truck, or even had their body dismembered in any cartoon, he was the one taking the hits.

Space Jam 2’s decision of making LeBron animated when he enters Tune World is something they should’ve done in the original film.

It actually allows them to fully embrace the Looney Tunes style without having to do uncanny, not even close to “The Mask” CGI human toon slapstick.
