For those asking, a small breakdown:
There are 6 "keyframe" meshes toggled on and off like a 3d spritesheet.
The shader on these meshes is rounding the vertex positions to different gridsize for each frame, also an offset of the mesh can be done here.

In the MC community, when someone says "spritesheet", they're refering to a .fla file that contains assets of characters, weapons, or backgrounds. The animator copies and pastes these assets into their project and creates their own animation with it.

this is a very poorly done test, but all you need to do is open the game files, get the spritesheet you want to replace and put your character over it!

Welp, knowing that everything worked I ended up drawing an entire new spritesheet! It was strange trying to emulate a different art style(and only having 16 colours was..... Limiting...) But I think I did a pretty good job and she fits in pretty well!
