Did a quick research. Apparently it was actually designed by Toriyama, it does look really off though, but the way Toriyama likes to add details is there at least.

Apparently they're called Ulcers now.

I have a lot of respect for my sensei Akira Toriyama, but I’m actually glad the movie isn’t just his art in 3D. It looks unique with its own identity and not just a game cutscene. The characters are still recognizable and it looks great.
