Tempted to go back to this underpainting style, which I may do more thoroughly for commissions. I have had a "no sketch/freeform" approach lately which is fine but these extra steps could work with some designs and help with providing WIPs... I want to provide a good service.

I used no stencils masks or layers ... just blocked in colors and added halftone ‘dots’ at the end for texture ... just a color study not a finished piece ... here’s the ‘underpainting’ in a single layer if you are interested ... ☮️👍PS13

Lineart/underpainting for another character for my "Swordblade" project :) And for comparison, the design as I envisioned it back in 2012-2013. Wanted to go much more feral and savage now, and of course the style is different. Cheers!
