Even w/ reality collapsing and Adora KNEW it was Catra's doing, she desperately tried to save Catra - physically from the emptiness & mentally trying to bring her to her senses - NEVER giving up on her. Only after Angella's sacrifice she stopped trying to save Catra from herself.

When Glimmer and Bow had been captured, Angella said "If we had She-Ra we might have a chance, but without the Sword of Protection..." - unwittingly emphasizing that only She-Ra & the sword matter. Luckily, Adora does NOT give up. Maybe that's what inspired Angella in S3.

But why does Micah not remember? On Beast Island he gives no indication that he would remember parting with Angella at Bright Moon as the world was collapsing. He doesn't remember playing with teenaged Glimmer, he just recalls his "little girl". Partial memory loss?
