After the very sad news of the death of my favourite illustrator and author Raymond Briggs, I’m going to draw more cartoons of Father Christmas.

Thank you to Raymond Briggs for some of the first comics strip books I ever read. Delightful and exquisitely melancholy.

RIP - one of the best illustrators ever. 😔💚

Thought I'd see how does when prompted with his inimitable style.

Not bad results... but not a patch on the Master himself.

Humans are definitely better than machines.

Raymond Briggs, When The Wind Blows...

R.I.P. Raymond Briggs (1934-2022), a master of the graphic novel for the past half-century, whose blend of mirth and melancholy elevated his stories far beyond kids' stuff.

Don't just read his tragicomic tale of nuclear war, 'When the Wind Blows' (1982); read all his books!

RIP Raymond Briggs

One of the first comic book writers and artists I was exposed to as a child. The first one I read was Gentleman Jim, a story about a toilet attendant who becomes a highwayman.

I was sad to hear about the passing of Raymond Briggs today. I loved reading his books especially The Snowman and Fungus the Bogeyman when I was young and of course watching The Snowman. Here is an illustration I did inspired by that magical moment ✨️

Brighty: Another sad loss, which demanded commemoration by pen. Amidst the sadness, this was pure joy to draw. I make no apology for any over-sentimentality, since he was the master of sentimentality - political cartoon gallery in London https://t.co/dePcTdnXF6
