During Ed Brubaker's run, he gave Selina plenty of independence, a mission, a decent supporting cast, and slowly developed the relationship. Objectively, Catwoman being linked with the Batfamily, and being a part of Bruce's life, enhances her story & exposure.

Ed Brubaker's origin is by far the strongest. His Selina Kyle was inspired by both Year One, and The Long Halloween. Also if you want, you can think of her mother as being a woman of color, and at some point having an affair with Carmine Falcone, which produced Selina. https://t.co/vaQ6EXuBU1

The Reckless hardcover from and Ed Brubaker was the advance-reordered item overall, and and 's Something is Killing the Children Vol. 2 was the top advance-reordered trade paperback. https://t.co/d6xzrOUwoi

Incidentally — if you’re looking for a good salt n’ vinegar Election Day read, you could do a hell of a lot worse than PULP. Ed Brubaker, Sean and Jacob Phillips, Image Comics. I think it pairs pretty well. https://t.co/SEQccB6vVE

A cool little piece of stagecraft in Brubaker, Phillips, & Phillips’ PULP: writer Max Winters and his editor argue over the ending of his latest story, an argument where the editor holds all the cards. He strikes a line through the ending at the a start of their discussion...

Found it strange that when it was revealed Warren Ellis was a creep the amount of people who then said that the Millar written Authority was the best Authority, as you get shit like this, if you want a Great Authority run by not creeps there's the Ed Brubaker & Dustin Nguyen run

The development from The Long Halloween, Ed Brubaker's Catwoman run, Batman Hush/Heart of Hush, is great. Bruce & Selina's romance, has definitely lacked the ideal on-panel consistency. But despite so many writers CONSTANTLY stunting their growth, their love is

Was asked about what inspired my various comics. All the previous ones are mixtures of loads of influences, but MUGSHOTS is a love letter to Brubaker & Criminal and Darwyn's Parker adaptions. If it's 10% as good as those I'll be happy.

Ed Brubaker & Darwyn Cooke had revamped in the comics, a couple years before the Catwoman movie would've even received the green-light. So WB had the perfect blueprint on how to approach Catwoman as a hero/lead. The direction they went in was so random, & ill-advised.😾
