and i find the process is entirely different if im doing more concept art heavy work instead of classic illustration...

definitelly a lot more sketches that will never be seen but are essential for the final piece being accurate to the idea the client has...

The main event today is the naughty moth. The character is 90% white so I experimented with colored highlights trying to imitate the pretty illustration...

Base colors done. A bit too rainbowy at the moment. I hope that detailing and accent shadows later will do the trick 🙏
