Let's talk about character design for a change. Balance is everything. When designing a character you should consider things like a well balanced density of details across the character and also balance in color layers. Keep it to 3-4 colors if possible.

Update:
I really like how this brush handles! I got a lot more control than I’d expected, and it made it easy to build up really delicate layers. This would be incredible for multi-sitting work, but it was fine for a oneshot in tandem with a small square brush for detail work!

Here, we get to see a Pokemon "Shadow Mew" card colors, progress from start to finish. No markers were used. All acrylic colors applied with brush and quill (and some airbrushed spots). I really enjoyed doing the background. Lots of tiny layers.🫣
