Goob is a little troll from my @Kickstarter campaign. I tried to model him after John Bauer’s beautiful paintings, but through a cartoon lens. He is a gentle soul, and makes my heart warm #FolkloreThursday

So when I don’t see birds to photograph I improvise. Not bad with the lens I have. I do need to invest in a macro lens.
But for now quite happy with these shots

It's WIP Wednesday! Here is the wing of the bee Perdita vesca as it's normally seen and then with a polarized lens.
In the face of what is making our hearts soften, the details may fade away, but we remain in essence whole, and in wait towards rediscovering ourselves and one another from a renewed lens......

Using some of my down time to look back through old hard drives and find some stuff I missed back in the day.
These are from 4/1/2017 shot on my first camera, Canon rebel T5i with Allen's 11mm-16mm. I miss that lens.
Did you know that many bees (and other insects) have vivid and stable color patterns hidden in their wings? These "wing interference patterns" can be seen against a dark background or with a special lens.
Here is a wing under normal light, and then viewed with a polarized lens.

No es una gran cosa en absoluto, but welp.
No sé si alguien recordará un hilo que hice en otra cuenta, que hablaba de los personajes del proyecto Plastic Lens...Pero aquí tenéis a su protagonista, Irene.
Sicheng through rose-coloured lens. I wouldn't be surprised if this is how Yuta sees Sicheng on a daily basis, an aura of pink surrounding him because of how much he loves Sicheng, with hearts all over the place~

Stefan Gesell is a Munich-based photographer who composes breathtaking images that shock & seduce the imagination. Mixing dark fantasy imagery with industrialism & science fiction, Gesell uses his experience as a former graphic designer to tell elaborate stories using the lens.
To illustrate the joyful excitement, the light must be outside, take flight and surround the lens. (@tellme_ne and @Lentaro_Yonemal) Lighting is therefore key to convey joy and make the reader smile.
On Instagram : Gus The Other Barber. After many years at the same location, Gus The Other Barber moved down the street to a bigger, brighter shop. Original photography from 2019 using a Canon EOS 60D body with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens.… https://t.co/Pu15YDbksi

This is an illustration that expresses depth and dynamism using a fisheye lens. It is a composition that is not easily seen in other manga. One of the illustrations that shocked me!

Orion, from my garden in Culross looking just above Grangemouth oil refinery. Standard camera & a telephoto lens. No filters, just a painfully slow reveal inside Lightroom.
