Okay before I do any kind of sprite sheet, should I do sketchy look or bold outline? (Not an art post just asking)

after a few weeks of prep and finishing the basic outline, im now taking applications for my short film! Hoki Poki will center around friendship and found family in a cute animated short film about a cat and his bird friend.

One complaint I get about my artwork is that my outlines are to thick and to dark.

This is an experiment with simply adding color to pencil lines.

I love sketchy outlines but I feel it never looks right when I do it.

Okie well I set up a basic pngtuber thing with Tomo's sprite, but in obs the black outline on the images is just gone?? I don't rlly know how to fix... 😅

@ditzy_bunny i do this when I do colored art and it makes everything like 80% nicer to look at, like here theres dark pink between pink borders and like an off white on the main bod! dark blue around the blue in the ears etc it makes a HUGE difference (i keep the main outline black tho?? idk)

Got the rough color and thinner outline in tonight. Unfortunately don't have enough time to start shading or fix the colors and will have to work on it more.... I did watch a tutorial on rope and was able to complete that so I'm happy! 😇
