Possibly the most surprising series I've played for the book is Sengoku from SNK. I never got a chance to play it back in the day, but I really love its creepy, odd vibe, wild imagination and solid combat. I'd highly recommend the arcade versions to all fans of the genre.

blanka aside his cvs2 art really is gorgeous and some of my favorite stuff he did for snk. idk why but I always loved the illustrations he did for athena and kyo in particular, they just feel really exemplary of his style I guess
