gm shoutouts to sonics where the back spines and head spines are connected as one big bed of spikes on his back
it just looks so freakin cool
@mosspond_ also my dnd pc, ramiel, has been around since like… 2015? his look has steadily crawled towards more ‘traditional’ dragon looks… he’s gone from hair/feathers/no spikes to lil dragon spines/bat wings/scales (also my armor design got better too!)

Leave your love to yesterday...'
I know that Amargasaurus spines/probable sails begin as one structure closest to the head before bifurcating, but that didn't work so well as flappers for this joke. So here we are.
lili's horns! since they sprout from their brows they're drawn a bit differently from how they look in-game
in the case of the caster and maiming horns, they're broken up into a "crown" and 2 "spines" (bc she only has so much brow real estate lol)
The new #histology study on #Amargasaurus' spines has implications for #paleoart beyond what has been depicted:
As suggested by Diplo soft-tissue studies by @DoubleBeam, @SV_POW, Schwarz & others, Amargas' spines were likely connected by soft tissues along the >midline< (thread)
Lookit the big fella, showin' spines all proud
Sketch 1/3 for @MelanistiChant ! Tysm! ✨
@RussellMaddie18 There's also 2 more. 2 different pngs for adult rodan got released and they have different features. But the one with the fin on its back instead of the spines don't have the same hands and feet either
He wants a hug,but anyways
This is an dactylaminam brachystegos,an amongid that has small plates on both it's left and right side that act as sensory systems, examination on the finger-like appendages reveals that these are not too dissimilar to their sea urchin relative's spines
i love early sonic media misinterpreting Amy's spines in this picture and just rolling with it
Dino medal for Hespero (Hesperosaurus) a vivosaur with an introverted personality, but it’s hard for him to get alone time with a flashy skin pattern like what he’s got. I wanted the spines to have a “blue flame” look, while the body’s a contrasting fiery orange

Okay, so I didn't notice this until now but I think Rikka's new box and Karin's box are regular DVD cases this time around and not the big cases we had before. This is just based on me looking at the spines.
@cocoshanx I did already c: the blue fella with the spines
Dino medal for Alcova (Alcovasaurus) I feel like the stegosaurs that are actually in the games don’t get creative enough with the designs of the spines on their back (except Steve ofc he’s cool) for Alcova I made his spines full-on jade crystal 💚

Instead of spines this Godzilla has specilized membranes that help it release excess heat, it has a large venom sack under its jaw, it gives the sensation of burning and has a special bacteria that makes it glow blue, it’s able to slowly dissolve solids
Its the hades crown imagery being accentuated with the back spines that really just.
IT REALLY JUST
Sharpen your claws, polish those spines. Is your mane in order, or do you go for an unkempt and ferocious look? Armored up, or will you fly?
All of these details and more await you in Manticores: A 5E Monstrous Player Race Option!
They will tremble.

@KaiserCola Sure! Scar doesn't mind being pet, or scratched- he especially likes his back/spines pet/scratched the most :3
Fixing his spines because they looked very short https://t.co/BTsXWqpHRc
