Happy Mardi Gras! Here’s the Dixie Cups, 1965, performing “Iko Iko.” The song became a hit after producers Leiber & Stoller unintentionally recorded the girl group improvising a 1953 Sugarboy Crawford song their Grandma taught them, while they hit chairs w/ drumsticks.
