Uses Baohong paper for the first time. Pretty happy with how it handled these washes. It behaved quite similar to Arches.

AW Conqueror Sans, as homage to English modernism is available in 8 weights, roman, italic, which match well with AW Conqueror Didot. They both share a common glyph set including swashes (1040 glyphs). This variant of “a” is present in both families, etc.

A quick in oil washes of a dawn sky with classic telephone wires arrangement. In cities, our skies are always constrained, encroached upon, and sliced into shards.

Some pencils and inks from this week’s pages. I’m not using brushes or washes on them, so it’s been outside of my comfort zone in a big way. But I’m learning lots, and it’s been a blast!

The old road. Oil mixed with white spirit washes on paper, dusk. Getting through Christmas this year is proving to be something of a challenge, so these small pleasures, corners of nature in the middle of a city, are quite a boon. I wish you all the very best for this season.

i don’t have any experience with alcohol-based pens! but i found a grayscale pack that was suspiciously cheap and these could easily replace ink washes for me. i can see why the high-end ones are so coveted 🥲

Happy 17th. All I want for Christmas is to paint Warhammer armies with Henry. I'll do the base colors and Henry will weather and do grime washes.

What's your x-mas wish?

I did traditional art after awhile! I like to mix watercolors and acrylics!

I’m pretty rusty at it, the paper got all blotchy after a few washes, so i just went for it, have a lil pink boi! 🍓

Gave myself 2 exercises for watercolour practice today - 1: filling in shapes with a wash using at least 2 colours and trying to get it even, and 2: filling in overlapping shapes with washes and trying to get them even.
