Quick note about colored lights. If you shine an opposing color to a surface, BOTH the value and saturation of the surface goes down unless the light is bright enough to overpower the color of the surface. The less saturated either are, the less pronounced this effect is.

Really enjoying the bump in color from doing a thin layer of color ink to bump up the saturation on background washes. The Arches 300 lb watercolor paper can really hold a lot of water without getting wonky.

I figured that I would try my DR-imitation artstyle again and I tried to draw my friend ! It was quite a pain due to the constant hue/saturation changing, but I think that in the end it went pretty well!
