Values is one of the fundamentals of art and it can help enhance art in multiple ways. I personally use it to create a 3D depth to my art but my weakness is I ALWAYS forget to check how my greyscale will work in colour so this tip is super important LMAO.

im kinda iffy when using procreate’s speedpaint feature bc it skips process when you’re using an adjustment tool (hue/saturation, liquify, etc.) and since i use gradient map to color my work frm greyscale, in the speedpaint it looks like it’s miraculously colored 😭

I'm still fighting with soft shading and greyscale shading and they are a pain in the butt but Procreate brushes don't behave like Sai and I'm a spoiled child.
