some WIP before I fly to bed! armor/garment blocking, using the planes and padding technique, bit technical but super quick great for poly-editing.
If you're a Taku stan and you don't celebrate this break up then I'm blocking you 🙂
@MegaWillbot Sometimes there's similar figures to use as a base, but in this I started from scratch. Here's an early rough stage of blocking in the shapes.
Tried out blocking more things in black and it was really fun! I saw someone on tiktok do this background hack where they scribbled stuff and then blurred it and it turned out really good tbh 💖
After blocking like 30 advertised twitter accounts, shame's hunt is over...For now...

Just finished up the block out of Tails. I wanted to show how low everything is when I do a blocking out. And I use a lot of parts to do it. Each color a new part used to make the base character.
Used a ton of different brushes to help polish this Hammond off!
Dense for blocking and emphasis, PnA for the airbrushy areas, WCB for the furry textures that flow off the lines, Smooth for the darker colouring blends, and Opaque for hairline highlights.
I love how it came out!
Still art blocking; but hehe meet my Blades in the Dark PC 🪳✨ #ttrpg
I’m blocking everyone who posts the leaked advent calendar like seriously
Right gotta finish blocking her in, make sure that she isn't see-through (she is-), and then I can start adding on more details and shadings and stuffsss (also gotta fix some colors)
M y process is kinda standard I think but:
1. Sketch
2. Lineart
3. Colour blocking
4. Colour effects (basically just any kind if gradient)
5. Shading
6. Highlights
8. Background (typically then repeat steps from 1-6 for it)
9. Additonal lighting
10. Watermark/ signature https://t.co/skIMYLF760

I mostly used 2 tools: real pencil for sketch & line art, and lasso fill for coloring, erasing & filling in blocks. by blocking-in areas, it helps you focus on key points of the drawing and avoid confusion on overlapping parts. This is where you can find lasso fill. I use it alot
