Shinkawa seems to have this habit of using duplicated and resized lineart as this subtle additional shading or background. Sometimes it is so subtle that you can't even really tell.

Left old, right new. Spent some time making a few subtle changes, some of which probably aren't even noticeable unless I point them out, but I think the results are a lot better, and it was worth the time spent.
