Been inspired to attempt different styles to help inspire new art methods and found a video that helped explained how to replicate @/ramdayo1122. Obviously not close rn but playing with half tones was a fun experiment!
Shapeshifting forms are most based on insects and arachnids.
Their appearances are mixed with wood bark, leaves, flowers, silk webs with dew droplets, and stones covered in vines and moss.

I started adding layers on color mode and overlay, the key here is to not overdo it. It's all about the subtleties, In this case I lowered the opacity on the layers so my cold base tones still come through. Then, I changed the color on the dragons eyes to make it more dramatic.
