Elementals are regarded not so much as spirits but as beings between creatures & spirits, generally being invisible to mankind but having physical & commonly humanoid bodies, as well as eating, sleeping, & wearing clothes like humans.

I get where you are coming from, but that's not it. America has a bad habit of always putting black women as the "savior" for this country. That is very harmful to us. They want us to be superheroes this means they don't see us as humans. Just like the days of "mammy"

In everyone has a weapon.
Kiana's weapons are katar, blades with a squeezable handle that splits them open, doing irreparable damage. You'd be lucky, or lying, to tell the tale of surviving these things. Thankfully, she rarely uses them against humans. Rarely.

• venom blasts: sw's body possesses an inordinate amount of bio-electricity. She has learned to channel and discharge with her hands, in controlled bursts of what she calls "venom blasts". this energy varies in power; they mostly affect the nervous system in humans.

Also thinking abt mythical creatures with a different level of conciousness than humans.
