This 30"x24" Oil on Canvas was possibly a dig by Orpen at his perception that a miracle would be needed for the Arts to flourish in the cultural desert of Ireland.

8a: I do this step after all the shading so that the hue variations and textures do not affect my perception of the shading. At this point, I've put all the color layers in a masked folder under the shading layers so I can create clipping masks to each individual color.
