I've been playing around with some DSM data in #QGIS. (Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh) Amazing what you can do without needing to extra software. It's great to combine the results of a GDAL Hillshade with "edges" & the results of the Batch Hillshader plugin. Then come the blend modes!

I am working with one base layer and a Multipy shadow layer with a brown/pinkish grey color. Then: paint shadows, blend, re-sharpen some edges
@beetle_guese Depending on the lighting, go over your character with a dark color like dark blue or red. Set it to darken. Blur some edges.
Then make a layer above the shading and set it to clipping. With red or a light blue like cyan, use the airbrush and put that on the edges of the shading+
If you don't enjoy something without being aroused, it's best to accept it rather than make yourself always stay horny for it through edges or denials.
It's not a healthy trick at all cause it makes you lose focus of the kinks and activities you enjoy without the horny ❤️

the trick to lighting is faking everything and I find it so much easier to manage with hard edges vs. painting somehow, maybe bc it forces me to simplify?
