We wanted to preserve the original “spirit” of the base ChainFaces by directly translating the 5 face pieces (left face, left eye, mouth, right eye, right face)--which occasionally leads to some pretty funky looking faces. Here's how the process looks:

I use FireAlpaca with the correction all the way up because I do not have a stable hand with a mouse. I use several layers but I usually do the lines and color. Sometimes I shade. I use Gaussian Blur for glows and sometimes with dark shading.
Occasionally I draw with MSPaint.
