I use a white airbrush. It helps me visualize objects as a 3d volume rather than lines. Maybe like milk. And with blurry lines it feels like glass.

so anyway, i'm not an animation studio with tons of nice little worker bees who will make my lines nice for me so i'll still draw distance shots with a pretty thick brush. if they're clean, i just push them to lines rather than re-inking. for example, this comic's panels

I think I'm getting the hang of wrinkle detailing/sculpting in ZBrush. This is but he still has wrinkles and folds on his face. It's part of his species I suppose. The wrinkles will be a lot smoother once the lighting comes into play. Still a WIP
