January 2022 vs November 2022.
What happened? I finally realised this was what I wanted to do. I sat down to learn more about art, learnt how to practice deliberately, made studies, painted pieces based on my favourite artworks.

I am NOT a natural at humans. Wanna know how I started to feel at least a *little* better about the faces I draw? 2 weeks solid of studies from a skull model. Similar work went to improving everything else in my painting.

Been getting tired of my coloring style lately so been doing some art style studies based from an artist I admire so I can try their way of coloring and see if I learn anything lol I really love saku’s way coloring the hair and eyes and their color choices are so soft 🥺

Oh I love this hashtag! Yeah, doing 150 studies this year is my way to get to really good "before and after" comparison posts and to document my argument that I wasn't born with the skills. It was work, and then more work after that.
