Ngl, sometimes lately when I’m drawing I’m like “oh man this looks dull as heck”
It’s mostly from a fear of making the colours too bright and making my art eyebleeding, but I’m starting to incorporate brighter colours! Also I love not using multiply- it’s fun

The theme was rain, so I wanted to make a more dull and strange drawing. :)

Then I went to make another Garibaldi, and placed the same two colors. Surprise! Gray! My orange fish was deathly dull. Which should have been no surprise at all, because neutral complements. I was able to add more color and save it, but barely!

As long as I can remember, whenever I read fairy tales I was far more interested in witches, goblins, trolls, & dragons than I was the prince or princess (whom I found dull). Baba Yaga with her hut on chicken feet was more fascinating than Vasilisa the Beautiful. How about you?
