Another common y2k color motif is cool, ice blue. This blue, often presented in translucent gradient, evokes the coolness of the y2k era's new digital world in contrast with analogue warmth. Range in saturation and value would vary, but orbited around similar hues.

Look at this Sony PS1 Demo Disc, for example - featuring that undeniable, abstract, liquid y2k look!

Another fixation of y2k 3DCG was the "cyberbabe" or "virtual idol" - now that CG had approached the realm of human facsimile, artists were eager to create virtual models, pop stars, and more.

They were, of course, perfectly idealized, dreams that only a computer could create.
