Haven't posted anything in a little while so I figured I'd show how my early drafts/sketches look. A lot of it is just speedily doodling out shapes and lighting just to see if the colors and composition work, and others are just really quick indulgent doodles

In one of the original drafts for GH, Izumo was a man known as "Black Galahad" who would travel around ridding evil monsters from the world. Kanna was a high school girl known as Kamui who acted much like a typical twin tailed tsundere who traveled with him.

Dativo has gone through a lot since i first got him huh. He wasn't always a protagonist but he was always a big focus of all story drafts he was in.

Bonus image for most recent doodle and most recent completed piece.

Did you know? Early drafts of The Phantom Menace had Jar Jar Binks paired with a dog-like companion, as demonstrated by this concept art by Terryl Whitlatch

As always, two of the fakemon concepts you see in the second picture were by my gf. These initial drafts were made three years ago, so they've come a long way haha.

Rusl has been in the drafts for a while. Finally got around to making an official design for him. Now I just need to finish his armour.

This drawing taught me a very important lesson…. Of not being afraid to redo a sketch if im not satisfied. As you will see in the slides i had to go through three drafts before ending up with the final sketch.
