Giovanni Martino 1908-1988 b. Philadelphia, one of eight artistic siblings, he painted various landscapes of industrial scenes around his home city, primarily in Manayunk. From thinly painted scenes of the mill town, he developed toward impasto laden oils during the 1960s.

My pick for must read book this week is Killadelphia #7 by @TheRodneyBarnes and @jasonshawnalex. This issue is part one of a new story arc titled “Burn baby burn” and Barnes starts the new arc off with a bang and Alexander’s art brings the terror to life! Scored a 9/10!
