Yeah, geneticist Mary-Claire King & her lab worked hard to identify and name gene BRCA1 in 1994. The company Myriad Genetics cloned the gene not too long later & patented it. They sent King a cease and desist letter stating she could no longer work on the gene she identified.

Thanks! Her name’s Lollipop, and she’s a failed genetically-engineered pet. Here’s some more of her kind!

Finally posting my OC, Vii. She's a PAK-less genetically engineered freak who was raised by a Vortian chef and had no idea what species she was for most of her life. She's a Resisty spy and knows nothing about Irken culture.

Dempsey is Don St. Peter's strongest (and only) underling. After being saved from genetic experimentation, she vowed to devote her life (and her heart) to her new boss.

Her enhanced physical strength and reflexes increase tenfold when she enters a frenzied state.

As Chief Research officer, she indulges in many genetic manipulation experiments. Seeing as her quarters is in space, she is entitled to the likes of many unethical experiments yielding varying results. She takes these results and applies it to her Business at Winstar Labratories

new lab preprint! amazing work by genetics master who discovered a miRNA mutant that induces female virgins to behave as if already mated. he figured out CNS neurons affected, and CRISPRed the hell out of homothorax to show miRNA/APA regulation of 1 gene explains this! https://t.co/1fBsXwOwze

From watching the art stream earlier, I learned that sadly our dear Panic Grimtongue cannot grow a beard, due to his particular tiefling genetics. Wanted to try and give him facial hair regardless. + Some Barb growths, instead of facial hair.

Anyways positivity with a manga recommendation.
Dogs bullets and carnage, by shirow miwa, features this pair of twins. Luki and noki.
The mangas set in a dystopian future involving illegal genetic engineering, a mysterious underground level, dogs with strange collars and guns.

Ok, some would argue: "but Dandare! Hitomi is not genetically modified super-soldier, she's a normal human like Tifa"

For those I would say: She hits like a TRUCK. I doubt it was ever explicitly explained for DoA but Hitomi haves some of top tier hitting damage.

Genetic technology is a powerful tool for editing genomes. It allows scientists to easily alter DNA sequences and modify gene function, including correcting genetic defects, treating and preventing the spread of diseases.

Cas and Swift from The Abyss Surrounds Us by

I've been in the mood for re-reading books recently. With everything going on, it's nice to tread a familiar path.

(It's also nice to think 'well, at least I don't need to deal with genetically engineered sea monsters')

Do you think that being a dumbass is genetic? I do and here’s my evidence:
