Extremely late to this, but like a decade ago some nerds "rediscovered" some Katsuya Terada art that had never seen print except in a German player's guide to Link's Awakening.
I love how Terada's art takes Zelda and makes it feel like some extremely Sword and Sorcery shit.

Coupla ideas for a playable Shield Knight from Essentially she has 12 skills instead of relics: 6 Chivalry & 6 Sorcery (derivative of her powers as the enchantress). Using sorcery comes at a cost, Corruption style ala Metroid Prime 3. More info on my tumblr post
