@imkatt_ Put eyelids or idk what it's called and add highlights on the inner corner of the eyes, when sketching eyes try making them wider so it could pop up, and adding highlights to the eyes can definitely add some uhh, yeah, also it's good to do shading and add some eyelashes
The way Jojo is adapted now is more what you'd see with other anime, where they replicate the style 1:1 and just add color to it.
Part 3 was also really accurate but the anime designers quirks were more apparent, detailed metallic like shading, highlights, triangular look etc.

@Scarletscav cheatsy: 1) put all coluring on one later. 2) copy and darken the new layer and adjust hue/saturation etc 3) erase for highlights, wary of eraser hardness, size and density for fabrics, and other surfaces etc. super quick but looks okay!
Okay, so this was a miscolouring on my part. The laces and markings on his shoes were supposed to be pure white, but they're the same colour as Nate's eye highlights.

This just means they're actually glow in the dark 🙏

@sketchy_demon I don't have a tutorial, but here's a layer breakdown. Short version is that I typically start dark and let the highlights do most of the work of defining the forms. I also avoid true neutral grays, even with "gray" or "white" metals.
