The PS1 models were pretty damn faithful to the concept art considering the hardware limitations. Not sure why people are suddenly insisting they’re vastly different interpretations of the character now.

Now that I got my hands on some of Pokemon Scarlet/Violet models, I can show you how they would look like if they were cel shaded, here's the starters.

These are the in game 3D models with no mesh changes, just with new stylized textures that I made and a cel shade.
