I wish Sonic could just go for a cel-shaded but detailed anime style akin to X or the OVA. There’s a reason I think the old handheld games in particular nailed the environments.

Copic and Prismacolor markers have been a godsend bc they finally allowed me to color my art in that smooth color + cel-shaded style I love so much without the streakiness of colored pencils or crayola markers
