This creature seems to not be reactive to any #Pokemon around it, but in fact acts as a defensive shield for other Pokemon looking to harm it while cloaked in fur and stones. It appears to resemble what we know today as a "Substitute Doll".

The Hardly Tree at St Pancras Old Church, London fell a few days ago. Thomas Hardy planted it among re-sited gravestones when the churchyard was reduced in size. Illustrations drawn in 2015.
