So with my first year of getting back into drawing coming to an end, I thought I'd have a look-back at my first ever piece compared to my most recent.

This year has been all about anatomy and learning poses, next year will focus more on detailing and looking less flat!

Day 22: Hair! I promised myself i'd get better at detailing hair, and I thought I'd tackle learning how to line longer hair, so 2 in 1! Currently this is just a hard color, I may come back to it later to practice softer color blending.

Detailing and layering.

It's interesting to start with a vibrant underpainting that is half purple, half orange, and know that the end result will be much more neutral and brown and gray toned.
