(3/4) Despite Sugimori's claims, one of these monsters CLEARLY became Tyranitar, while the turtle might've ended up as Tirtouga.

Spintop appears to have been revised into the Hitmontop design seen in Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, then ultimately into the Hitmontop we know today.

(3/4) Manboo evolved into Ikari at level 19, who evolved into Gurotesu at level 38.

Ikari's design was likely revised into Sharpedo, while Gurotesu probably ended up as Lanturn. Gen 3's Huntail also appears to have scavenged elements from Gurotesu's scrapped design.
