this is a WIP but I usually just do a rough sillohuette to get my proportions in order then a rougher sketch, cleaner sketch, lineart, colors, shading, highlights, overlays!! The whole process takes anywhere from 5-12 hours but it's really rewarding :D

Personally, I think Oddworld had the best proportions for a centuar like race that I don't think I've really seen anywhere else, usually always full on horse with a humanoid torso stuck on the neck
