I love all these threads showcasing good examples of black characters in anime. But I hate how a lot of these are forgetting my boy Atem from Yu-Gi-Oh.
Put some respect on the Pharaoh's name. And an anime that openly had black characters that didn't look like stereotypes.
@mirarts___ @w_lucy_w Eu sou o stereo
Gosto de cores vibrantes mas so uso preto
Essa é minha arte
What else... Oh right, the second OC I made during the break!
Her name is Cherry Pop and she's a Clown Drimare
Except she's mad about clown stereotypes and expectations so she decided to become a metal singer instead
Not all clowns like jokes

// this may just be me, but i love how porco isn't like,, this stereotypically buff character, i guess? his proportions aren't exaggerated; his cheeks are a bit squishy (sometimes round too), his shoulders are broad, and his arms are kinda chubby!! it makes me feel very validated
@TheCValentine breaking GRT (Gypsy, Roma and Traveller) stereotypes ❤️ 💛✨
@w_lucy_w Ello

@ZachSeligson I still cherish this one very much.
Just the seriousness in his eyes and pose.
And yet, he doesn't come off edgy (atleast... not stereotypical edgy... I think?).
