Just finished my One Piece challenge that I ended up spontaneously setting myself, and I'm soo happy with how it turned out!! I either made each character brand new colour palettes and outfits, or slightly adjusted pre-existing ones, just to spice it up a bit hehe :)

I DIDN'T like this old drawing of Elly, so I turned into a flat color, removed the background, and adjusted the colors lol

Second attempt! this is a lot better. Sadly Zbrush mini crashed in the middle of it, but I could take a pic before it died. Kind of adjusted curves on PS to make it look like it was on the program
I went to check out my file and it didn't even save, despite me typing ctrl+s

Been reshaping the back, and adjusted the global body to be more humanoid (specially for fullbody compatibility)

Princess Mononoke

Adjusted the cropping/composition, added type, and dialed in on some colour grading to get it feeling right. Definitely felt inspired by the Ghibli posters I RT'd a few days ago.

It's so much fun to letter such epic dialogue on the next issue of ! I can hear Achilles' voice in my head.

Technical Point - I could have adjusted the dialogue more into a box shape but in this case, splitting up into each line creates a more dramatic impact.

PSA: Teasing dragons by inviting them over to play games like Limbo that aren't adjusted to their size will probably end up with you with a barbequed butt :P

Asher isn't impressed whatsoever
