Practicing some basic colours. I really enjoy my usual Greyscale/ black and white style but I see so much vibrant colourful work on here and always think, 'I want to be that!'

Finished study of the recent Holme Pierrepont Dusky Warbler, in watercolours.
Probably the most frustratingly elusive bird I’ve ever seen, which makes it an even better find by Alan Clewes!

Practicing colours.

I've hated using the G-Pen to do linework. Using the dense and transparent brushes 'feel' better to me, and 'looser' to work with.

I'm curious what other people think of this, outside of tidying up spots.

I've used watercolours a lot. Never ink though. It always fascinates me how smooth of a wash you can get. This is one of my watercolours. I havent done one in a while, started with alcohol markers instead. 😫 Theres so many different things to illustrate with and so little time!

Mine uses a full suit, the other a shortened with the tail visible. I use also a special emblem (my country). WingedYoshi looks very futuristic with the colours.

Battling the Dragon

I made this while drunk again. No regrets.

For experimentation, tried shading with darker variations of chosen colours, and not greys as usual.
May retain this technique for extremely bright colours, and continue using blacks and greys for darker colours.
