I'd say you did pretty good for your first time in 15 years! Are the round pupils a stylistic choice? Because Sonic characters tend to have long oval shaped pupils. Thats the only thing I'd have to say for a critique in all honesty. But if its a stylistic choice that's fine.

I do Live2D models for use in FaceRig!
Mine generally follow all facial tracking (mouth, brows, eyes, pupils, head rotation/angle)
And can have special animations set to hotkeys and togglable things like Blush/Ear Position/etc.
