You can still progress with a huge break like mine. It's never to late to start drawing (again).

So I did the challenge ! It was really super fun to see how much my changed. I'm still veeeery far from what I want but the "me of 2009" would have done anything to have my current level :)

So much has happened in ten years. I created my dragonsona in 2009 and became primarily a digital artist around then. I didn't know what I was doing then and I still don't, but it's been fun.

Every now a then I redraw the same picture of an Original Character (actually one of my first sons ever, so proud of his evolution! 😭)

(Also no 2009 art because I started drawing around 2012, but I can still do the challenge... right? 🙄)

But I must say: I'm really happy with my artstyle now. 10 Years ago I was still struggling and didn't really know what I wanted.

It took me ages to find a drawing from 2009 because I’ve always had the bad habit of not dating my drawings, so I have to work by memory, and I don’t have that many drawings from back then either 😂

2009 me was really proud of the left image, but 2019 me is so pleased to see my improvement! i would have done it as a pixel too, but my work shifted more towards more traditional digital coloring...
