In 2016, the Warner Animation Group (WAG) planned a live-action/animated Pepé Le Pew movie. It's a rom-com heist movie where Pepé and Penelope stop a madman plotting to make France a monarchy again, as they explore their feelings for each other.

The film was confirmed cancelled.

The "Takumi-kun Series" BL novel ran from 1992 till 2016, and has received plenty of adaptations through the years.

The new movie will be out in 2023.
