I drew this early on at art school, from a plaster cast of a Greek sculpture: The Calf Bearer (original c.570 BC). This was Birmingham School of Art, 1984; it was dotted with dusty plaster casts which I probably didn't notice enough. I did and do almost quite like my drawing.
