So... for context, I thought "What if Bisharp didn't have the protruding blades", so I tried a sprite edit and voila, I got this. I kind of like it, three blades on the waist looks nice imo.

Lookwise Bisharp would be perfect, also the typing with him being a Dark Knight.
But Lucario is way more fitting for Jargal's personality. And the typing is also good, with him being a former Monk.
