I think Crow from Destiny 2 matches this. Originally an antagonist in Destiny 1 (his name was originally Uldren Sov), he ends up dying in D2 and is reborn as a guardian with no memory of who he was. It's implied that you killed Uldren but you are mentoring him now as Crow.

Seeing the new Batman Riddler design I was inspired to draw out the mask for Scarecrow. Originally I was going to go with a ski mask that has holes for that trypophobia look with straw and stitches. But I felt the old style Gasmask was more realistic in the sense for a chemist.
